WHY CHOOSE FIRM FOUNDATION HOMESCHOOL?

Our desire at Firm Foundation Homeschool (FFH) is to build a strong, connected, community of families, where we foster a love for learning in our children and, most importantly, grow in our personal relationships with Jesus Christ.

With a private education at home, families are better able to teach spiritual values and provide character training. At FFH, our goal is to support families as they honor God in home-educating their children and to provide the tools to equip every parent to feel confident in their journey and abilities.

That is why, during our Tuesday co-op meetings, we provide tutors to instruct & prepare parents and students for their upcoming week. All subjects are taught from a Biblical perspective.

EDUCATION

  • Pebbles – Our lower school is for students in K4-6th grade. Students receive instruction in five subjects during our morning session: Bible, History, Science, Art, and Public Speaking.

  • Rocks – 3rd-6th grade students participate in our English Language Arts (ELA) program, which takes place from 1 PM to 3 PM. During ELA, students receive instruction in grammar, writing and memory work.

  • Cornerstone & Capstone – Our upper school is geared towards students in 7th – 12th grade. Students receive grade level specific instruction in five core subjects: Bible, Logic, Science, Language Arts, and History.

  • Extension Thursdays – All students have the opportunity to participate in additional Thursday extension coursework, on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This day is full of classes that provide a well rounded curriculum in a variety of subject areas.

OUR VALUES

We exist to point people to Jesus (the Rock), encourage parents in their homeschool journey, support children in their studies, and surround families with a faith-based community.

We seek to educate children and equip parents in the Classical and Charlotte Mason styles of learning. We desire children and parents to fall in love with learning and to see the entire scope of their education through a Biblical worldview, with Christ being the author and perfector of our faith.

We believe that parents know their children best and are the primary teachers of their students. We believe that both parents and children need the support and encouragement of the body of Christ to learn and grow “as iron sharpens iron”.

Our mission is accomplished through community days filled with excitement and excellence in education. We meet weekly on Tuesdays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM and Thursdays from 9 AM to 12 Noon.
